Emergency services leader Sarah Wills joins AMG

Aeria Management Group (AMG) has appointed experienced aviation and safety professional Sarah Wills as General Manager Aviation for Bankstown Airport and Camden Airport.

Sarah boasts more than a decade of senior aviation leadership roles across the emergency and aeromedical services and airport logistics sectors, including at the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Wymap Group.

Tom Smith, CEO of AMG, said Sarah’s expertise would be invaluable in supporting essential operations, safety and ongoing infrastructure upgrades at Bankstown Airport and Camden Airport – NSW’s leading general aviation hubs.

“Sarah has led multimillion-dollar airfield infrastructure projects, managed complex safety management systems and developed emergency response plans for major aviation organisations, while working in close collaboration with airport operators, regulators and governments,” he said.

“Sarah’s experience and skills in aviation operations, safety, compliance and sustainability will ensure our airports continue to deliver critical care for the people and businesses of NSW and beyond, including emergency and aeromedical services for regional and remote areas.”

Sarah said she was excited to lead AMG’s aviation team in delivering first-class operations and services for the general aviation sector. “I am inspired by AMG’s commitment to community, safety and innovation and look forward to bringing my leadership experience and operational insight to support the continued excellence of Bankstown and Camden airports,” she said.

From 2019 to 2025, Sarah was Head of Risk and Assurance for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, where she implemented an organisation-wide Emergency Response Plan and led a $3 million project that delivered airfield infrastructure upgrades across 42 regional and remote airstrips in NSW.

She joined AMG in September 2025 from airport and airfreight resources company Wymap Group, where she led the organisation’s safety, compliance, sustainability and business strategy across Australia and New Zealand. She also previously worked for Tigerair in various safety standards and training roles.

Since 2022, Sarah has been Chair of FunFlight, a national not-for-profit organisation that partners with aeroclubs and charities to support children living with adversity.
